Yeah the one little nitpicky thing for me was also moiraines height. She's from cairhien, and literally the one significant feature they have as a people is they are abnormally short. But yeah little detail

Tams heron mark sword wasn't special compared to other heron mark swords. All the heron marked swords are indestructible swords made with the power during the age of legends, which is why they are reserved for blademasters.

I feel like Robert Jordan was trying to tie things up with this book *Knowing he was dying* 😬

Thatll be explicitly brought up again either in this book or the next one

For whatever reason, darkspawn die instantly when they pass through a Traveling portal, so the Ways are the only way that the forsaken have been able to get their giant armies of trollocs and such around the map. So actually permanently closing the ways is a game changer.

"Hopefully this is the last we see of Tylin" 😐

Lol no I dont think you can add trans concepts into wheel of Time and not drastically change the structure of the story. Like the makeup of the universe itself is built on the gender binary. There's sooo much that would fall apart if that wasn't Rock solid. Just because trans people exist in the real world doesn't mean they need to exist in randland. It's a fictional place where they pretty explicitly don't exist.

"I'm surprised the ebou dar storyline wasn't resolved in this book" HAHAHAHAHA

It's not just failes family that makes her act that way it's just the way women from saldea act culturally. She is treating perrin badly and she expects him to "yell at her" meaning stick up for himself. Wants him to treat her as an equal, instead of trying to placate her or treat her with kid gloves.

I thought those min chapters were awkwardly written but I saw rands behavior as him being in denial. In his view he already did shit that would warrant getting married to aviendah, and he had to send her away to try and protect her. He wants to keep the non-romantic relationship with min so he won't feel like he needs to send her to the blight or whatever. He's being intentionally dense.

1. Rand loves Elayne. He's definitely not crazy for sending one of his strongest and most trusted armies to go pick her up. Immature sure but not crazy. 2. You guys seem to forget that salidar is a place where there is like 100 aes sedai, the group Rand hates, is afraid of, and tells to fuck off routinely, there's no way he would ever go there himself.

Jeff is definitely on the mark with the aiel culture thing.

How much does rand actually know about what the warder bond is? Does he know it's a permanent thing that will allow him to be tracked and maybe manipulated? Im not sure anyone's ever explained that to him before

If you don't get training for channeling, you DO typically burn out and die horribly. But remember the whole point in the sea folk throwing the white tower a girl now and then is so they don't come in and find out the sea folk have a bunch if badass windfinders...who can obviously train all the channelers that they are hiding.

Nynaeve is fucking around in a world where she doesn't know what she's doing and could literally slip into someone's nightmare and be trapped there forever. Egwene was illustrating what could potentially happen to her, and how she was completely powerless to defend herself. We already saw multiple times people explaining the dangers to nynaeve and her not caring. She needed to be shown. I thought it was an extreme measure for an extreme situation. Definitely comparable to the adult/wizard form of spanking.

Men are more naturally strong *on average

Rahvin and Ishmael are the only people who are as strong as Rand with the Power, and while Lanfear is as powerful as a woman can possibly be, all three of those guys are way stronger than she is. He compares it to physical strength, where men are more naturally strong in the power, and it's much more apparent at the extreme ends. And since the forsaken are the top tier, even Asmodean, who is the weakest male forsaken, is more like three tiers of power above Lanfear.

But side note: fuck you guys, I'll never be able to think of asmodean NOT as Micheal Jackson 😂

Didn't mean to be so nitpicky, but I just like to argue. This is my favorite book in the series, I'll lay off for the rest of them. Obviously love the show since I've listened to them all. Good job you guys!
