I have binged the last 100 podcasts. They are thoroughly enjoyable. David’s ’tongue in cheek’ commentary along with his presentation of historical facts work hand-in-hand to educate his listeners as well as keeping them laughing along the way. He constructs his podcasts in such a manner as to leave the listener wanting to know what’s next. Great podcast!

I liked this a lot, and am grateful. My ancestors come from Suffolk, East Anglia. So it's good to hear about it and that we can claim Wōden as our forefather. Cool beans.
What a difference it makes read and then hear history. You've a way of bringing the Anglo-Saxons to life. The point of transition from the basic few-tiered relatively equal society into the Overlord/Underling dichotomy was interesting. Wonder if it makes Tacitus twitch in his grave a little.
It's good to see that the idea of a savage and brütâl genocide is being debunked. It always struck me nonsensical to believe that an invading force is going to have that kind of organizational power.
