Interesting episode that talks about the change in industry safety standards due to this incident.

Very interesting podcast... Is Chris really that naive that some of his questions are quite embarrassing to the average listener. Do some research before you create the podcast... Cheers.

Hey guys! Great stuff as usual. The reason the Il-76 and other older Russian passenger planes have a glazed nose is primarily for VFR navigation by landmarks.

Love this, I have one for strangest thing ever checked through baggage. Years ago I was a volunteer at a museum in Tulsa, I drove a loaner display from NASA back to Houston, and picked up an Apollo moonsuit and a small case containing a moon rock cast in a small acrylic pyramid. So I showed up at Southwest Airlines with a huge steel-bound chest with the space suit to check, and a small Steelcase lockbox as my carry on (I had to sign my life away to carry the rock).
