Re Nicaragua... Failing to mention the attempted overthrow of the government is a gaping hole of understanding/reporting. Expelling missionaries is about expelling nefarious foreign actors. A group particularly hit hard is the Catholic church.
Katie McCoy implied that the UMC was an ’evangelical’ denominaton. Only a few people would make that claim, and almost no elected officials. It has proudly claimed for a long time it was ’Mainline’. It is the last of the mainline to approve same- marriage & ordination. Your commentary should have picked up on their Divestment from Israel and Fossil Fuels, and their endorsement of abortion.
The Lord ”specifically told” J.B. Chainey? Wouldn’t she be a Prophet or Apostle or someone like Mary or Elizabeth extraordinarily used by God? ”However one ”feels” God is leading..” interpreting Providence is not a feeling, but requires great Wisdom. I think J.B.C. should be more biblical in her choice of words and theology.
