If you miss pasties and want our American take on them, try northern MI, either just below the Mackinac bridge or at any of the various pasty shops north of the bridge. To ensure success in the hunt for a pasty, timing is critical. It seems that a lot of the shops rely on tourist business and won’t likely be open in the off season. Always made me sad since I typically passed through the UP in the off season for work, which made pasties harder to find. Good luck.
