I went to Concordia in Selma, and that’s the best thing that was ever presented to me.

The episode was great untill he last 20 minutes. Trying to take over the world’s institutions in christianizing them is not going to work; it didn’t work with it religious conservative movement and it’s not going to work now. We can take over the school board but then the enemy just simply comes back with a stronger force.

Why do our LCMS churches allow women to read Scripture, teach Bible classes, and do other offices formerly done only by men? I never hear any teaching on Biblical gender rules. The women in my church seem to run everything, and the men are passive. LWML gets so much attention. On LWML Sunday, they take over every part of the service except the actual sermon. Why would they be allowed to do that? Is this a game of dress-up to them?

Plenty of churchgoing Christians support Trump without thinking he is a Messiah. He is smart, effective, and hilarious.

My daughters’ school, which is a Classical, Christian hybrid homeschool, learned Adeste Fidelis this year.

We mix the Advent hymns and Christmas hymns on Christmas Eve. I wish they wouldn’t, but nobody asks me! We did O Come All Ye Faithful and Joy to the World with the chimes for the Call to Worship, O Come All Ye Faithful for the Hymn of Procession, and Adeste Fidelis was sung by my daughters!

This interview helped me understand God’s mercy in a way never before taught to me in my non-denominational upbringing. The Old Testament has been difficult to read, however now I’m inspired to read it, study it, and look for Christ in it.

Concerning the accusations that the Republican party is ”not Pro-life” because they supposedley are agaisnt programs helping the poor. Accusations like this are often based on voting against a bill loaded with funding for Planned Parebthood to abort babies with, but also containing a food program. A rather devilish trick if you ask me

I suspect Jonah wrote his account as a defense of having preached to the Ninevites to their temporal and eternal salvation. He basically told his countrymen that he had no choice but to go and preach and they would have to under the same conditions. His faith shows through in his confession in the fish’s belly despite all his contrary flaws.

As an old broken soldier who loves old country (Cash, Haggard, Jones). I was surprised at how much I love Flame’s music.
