Katherine is so unique in her combination of communicating highly informed, data-based scientific realities with pastoral wisdom and care that addresses the psychological and social realities of her audience. I’m a long-time subscriber to her high-quality newsletter, and this podcast is another gem from her. Thank you for this conversation!

How this moved me - I couldn’t stop crying, and yet there was, there is, hope in the midst of my grief. May the Lord bless you and your ministry. Thank you!

This was a great podcast that really hit home for me. I kept saying ”that’s me”. Thank you for these words Steve, and thank you to the whole Good Faith team. And great questions too, thank you all!

Thank you for this podcast. It was hard to hear but I think you’re right about seeking guidance from members of the civil rights movement. I also think finding ”community” will be especially difficult since a huge % of white evangelicals voted for Trump.

This was excellent, it addressed a lot of what I was feeling. It also was reassuring as many of the points they made on moving forward I was thinking about but unable to articulate. thank you

Stand =fight, hide =fight/join and jump ship=life boat

I think that the better analogy is a mutiny. The crazies are acting out a mutiny. Do you fight the mutiny, reluctantly stand with the mutiny or jump ship. It fits the situation better.

Can’t listen to David anymore after this. He was doing great with live not by lies but has not actually proven the election was not stolen. He denigrates people who are honestly looking at a global effort to destroy democracy by saying or implying we are evil for thinking this way. Yet scripture tells us there exists a conspiracy of demons. Does David really want to side with them?

One of the best discussions on this issue specifically the wisdom and balance from Dr. Gray and his focus on only the Bible and not getting distracted by specific policies that we can debate over but core biblical truths.

Just finished your episode in Deconstruction and was encouraged and helped by the reflections and vulnerability of your own stories shared. Thank you! I want to suggest/highlight the Andy Squires album “Cherry Blossoms” and the poetic song cycle of grief, deconstruction, and faith. This podcast affirms one of my favorite lines in the song, “What Nobody Should Know,” where he describes the mourning of a church community that cries out: “mourning our loss, but not our doubting.” Thank you.
