Nice show you guys, I watched this one when it was brand new. I never liked Punky Brewster, but I watched it. Around that time stephen Spielberg had a show on TV called Amazing Stories, and it would come one right after. Then Family Ties and then the Sunday Night Movie of the Week, which was normally a piece of shit, but we watched it, and we liked it.
I listened to the podcast regarding the too close for comfort rape of Ramone. I remember watching that episode when it was brand new, when I was a kid, with my mom, and it was really stupid. The show it's self I think was trying to fill the hole that Three's Company left, the two girls and a goofy guy combo that everyone couldn't let go of. I was under the impression that Ramone was some kind of a handyman for Mr. Rush. Jim J Bullock played Ramone, and he later moved on to be the center square for Hollywood Squares when that show was revived. The host was John Davidson. I watched it all of the time as a kid. It was very 80s. I don't really recall Jim J Bullock as being very funny though, ever, so I don't get why he was in so much 80s substandard programming. After Spaceballs, I think he tried having a daytime cooking show with Florence Henderson, America's mom from The Brady Bunch. I remember watching the first episode, which was on Christmas day in 1995, I believe. It was a horrible show. Not sure why I remember it at all. That Christmas sucked, because it was also the same day year that Dean Martin died, and he was always one of my favorite entertainers.
