The presenters are correct in saying that despite all efforts to silence Morton, his ideas have reached us in our time. They come to the conclusion that suppression does not work. The fact is that suppression did work in shaping the widely accepted myths of our nation’s founding, as we only become conscious of the truth centuries after the fact. It is a dire warning that we cannot wait 3 or 4 more centuries to repair the damage of book banning and truth suppression going on now.
This is a good review, particularly for Americans unfamiliar with that whole area, and it’s long-standing conflicts

I am a blue collar worker and i hate socialism. The American workers reject redistribution of wealth from the qorking class to the non working class. It’s unfair and rewards laziness and bad life decisions while punishing hard work and personal responsibility and independence. Keep the government out of my pocket. There are 10’s of millions of unfilled jobs. Get a job and stop relying off of the working taxpayers for your existence. Stop being a lazy bum. Take care of yourself.
There is a current Greek word χενιτια that i encountered for the first time in a book called A Feast of Memories by Elias Kulukundis. It is a word he says means a longing for home because of exile. The huge Greek diaspora experienced it and continues to experience it, even the children who had never lived in Greece. And those children return to Greece as do their parents. Xenitia also can refer to the longing Greeks have for their family homeland once the families moved elsewhere within Greece.
