In the 1970โ€™s many animals were endangered, for eg. American Eagles. Humans had extinquished carrier pigeon & dodos just to name 2 . The laws were needed to protect the wild animals. Times change and laws do too. BUT we need to not jump in and make precipipatchanges.

Oh my. Old growth forest for toilet paper? This is so so sad. So many other alternatives in that department. Killing the wolves, bears and cougars that are doing their job? No! It's humans causing the issue. Save the ecosystem, save the wildlife, save humanity. We are all connected.

And, last year I had a wonderful experience with one crow. Hand feeding, daily visits, witnessing an anting event. It was full of magic. Fable the Raven is another prime example of how intelligent. I believe Harvard has a long time study of Corvids as well. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing. I'll ask my Crow to help me with some complex math now ๐Ÿ˜‰

Bats are groovy. Great story. Too bad so many believe in Brams Stoker bat story more often than scientists. I believe in science. Your audio guy is the bomb.

Success story, indeed. We can all get along. I'll go in with someone on some land for Conservation.

A fine line, indeed. I love that you keep your calm. All living beings have a soul of a sort. I was sad to hear what Peter said. Save the soil, save the wildlife, save ourselves. Regeneration.

Maybe, since they're already touching the chicks...is it possible to microchip them?

Welcome back. Chris you have me great advice last year. I had to find my way through conservation and be a champion without being a brute. I tend to take it too seriously. I've tempered down. Kiss the Ground is my new fav. When I'm not listening to you too.

I do put the word out about your wonderful podcast using the Artic Squirrel story to entice. Not sure if it works but it does for me. Safe travels.

Thanks for the break. My local sounds are Blue Jays, my murder of Crows with their caws, squawks, purrs, then alarms, esp when the Red Shouldered Hawks are around with their piercing call. Then the similar to this sound bite, a lovely symphony of little birds. Peaceandlove

I so understand. Missing my cousins, missing a normal year, missing my friends and normal travels. Thanks for acknowledging through the story of the Artic Tern.

Ants/aphids...sounds a lot like my ex husband's tricks... Recently I asked several ppl why "ants"? No one could answer. Chris, I'm good with your farmer story and feel answered now, even if I'm still not a fan of ants. Although my Crow Kylie likes to do her thing on a suitable mound. "Anting" an odd behavior, yet totally interesting. Our beautiful natural world.
