No mention of Kondiaronk of the Huron-Wendat people? I highly suggest reading David Wengrow’s & David Graeber’s book, ”The Dawn of Everything”. The Europeans seem to have got ideas of Democracy more so from Kondiaronk, rather than from the Greeks.

ICJ rule has changed things. A tanker carrying jet fighter fuel has been denied access to the British port of Gibraltar.

I don’t get why those people (”Carrot Top” and friends) who said they saw the person on the roof, with a rifle, yell out something like ”Shooter!”, especially if security wasn’t doing anything about it? Seems obvious from what they said that they expected something bad to happen. And even if they were wrong - better safe being mistaken than staying silent... however, people do tend to act weird in sudden situations all the time for no logical reason.

For the Roman concrete - pretty sure it’s specifically because they fired their lime at a lower temperature than we do (I think 600°F or 900°F instead of 1200°F). And then yes, when there are cracks, it automatically fills them in. Also seems to cure very slowly. Volcanic ash is also added for underwater concrete.
