The Passion translation is written by a guy from the NAR - I do not recommend.

I hate “working out” but after listening to the poddy about how important it is to build muscle especially as you get older (I am 48) I thought I really need to start this. I walk (hike) Monday thru Friday for about 1 1/2 miles (I used to go a little more but I have an older dog and that is about all he can handle🐶) so I thought I would add arm exercises in while I walk. I just recently went up to an 8lb weight. I do this on every hike and have essential after. Is this to much?

Thank you for this! I try telling people like my sister who tries to be the favorite aunt by bringing cases of sugar with her. Then she gets all butt hurt when my sister-in-law and I want to limit our kids sugar in take (my kids are older so it is a bit easier for me) but my sister-in-law’s kids don’t do well with a lot of sugar. I will share this with my kids and maybe even with my sister.

My wife and I are in the scenario opposite of others. We have adult kids who feed our grandkids sugar all the time. We are the kill joy grandparents that don’t provide junk kids to our grandkids. We are not judging but try to set an example in what we eat and provide healthy sweet alternatives.
