There is a nuclear technology that was researched in the 80s and 90s called the Integral Fast Reactor, which was fully developed but then cancelled by the Clinton administration. It’s called ”integral” because the IFR integrates and address all the big issues around nuclear power together: safety, proliferation, the fuel cycle, and nuclear waste. Go read about it. This technology puts to rest every single argument against nuclear energy.

Russia clearly isn’t interested in negotiations. There has to be an incentive before a party to a conflict decides to come to the table. And hello? Russia started the war! They could end it at any time by simply leaving Ukraine. There isn’t really any serious pressure on Russia to make them want to discuss peace right now, least of all from the blustering buffoon of an international embarrassment in the White House.

She sounds like a Trump Republican. You can’t out-Trump Trump! Just be genuine, and fight. Stop the focus group nonsense.

Any random second-grader has more insight, and more patience, than this Trump fellow. What a joke of a presidency.

He’s right. Especially the part about both-sides journalism.

The senator is talking out of both sides of his mouth here. It is beyond outrageous that any single person has the power and apparent authority to unilaterally tank the global economy.

What I want to know is how did a single person gain the power to unilaterally impose trade barriers without any kind of checks and balances? And what is being done to rectify that?

This brief story by PBS is an example of both sides journalism at it’s worst. It’s not journalism, it’s churnalism. No facts, no attempt to get to the truth, just regurgitation of the talking points. Trump _ambushed_ Zelenskyy in that meeting. The Trump administration is a disgrace and a danger.

Trump is a disgrace, an embarrassment to our nation, and a danger to the world.

Paul Saunders: ”The US should capitulate to Putin and hand Ukraine over to Russia.” He’s a disgusting Trump bootlicker.

He’s not joking about staying in office after his term is up.

Carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, water, ammonia, methane, etc -- the building blocks of life -- are common everywhere in the solar system, and throughout the galaxy and the broader universe. Amino acids have been observed in interstellar clouds for example. The basic ingredients of life are ubiquitous. The _conditions_ that lead to the development of life are what’s important. Liquid water and sunlight, and time. It’s not random. When you have the proper conditions, it’s inevitable.

What type of BOZO mentions ”Hamas” as the potential controlling entity overseeing the Gaza Egypt border AFTER the exposure of the terrorist supplying tunnels underneath that border crossing? US ”journalists” employed by NPR, PBS, The NY Times... and UNRWA employees, I guess.

Which of the journalists stated FLAT OUT (as if he knows anything on the inside) ”ISRAEL HAS DONE NOTHING TO PREPARE FOR A DAY AFTER?” WTF does this guy think he knows about the inner workings of the various branches of Israel’s politico-military-intelligence operation? Just a moronic and extremely arrogant statement from him. With ZERO basis of fact. Horrible ”reporting”. Perfect example of an expressed opinion replacing factual information.

PS. Since when was the Arab Spring uprisings a push for DEMOCRACY in the Middle East? Wasn’t it a push for Islamist fundamentalism backed by the Muslim brotherhood? Please name a true democracy that arised from the Arab Spring movement?

Narwaz interviews Jouejani and elicits completely biased takes on Israel on 2 accounts. 1) Israel’s mauling of the Iranian proxies (especially Hezbollah) greatly influenced the ease with which HTS marched into Damascus with little opposition. Iran was in no position to help Assad. 2) Israel’s minor (area wise) incursion into the DMZ area near the Israeli border is and will be temporary if the new regime proves stable and makes peace with Israel.

People lack a basic understanding of economics and mistakenly think that lower inflation means prices are going to come down. It doesn’t work that way.

No leader could hope to remain in power after such a feckless move. Yoon should resign in disgrace.

7 months ago reply 0

If you’re the chief and you openly admit that your organization failed, you say you take full responsiblilty, yet you don’t at the same time resign, there’s something wrong. Democrat, Republican, USA, Germany, Japan, it doesn’t matter. The right thing to do is to immediately resign.
