6 min... , brain dead Biden couldn’t mumble out nonsense in that time frame.... he’d just finish up stammering and figuring out where he was in 15 at least!

Another fantastic episode! I Love learning about little known historical people, especially, women!

After listening to this, I went on audible and bought this book immediately! Can’t wait to start it.

There were no Europeans in Africa before the 7th century? In Africa knowledge is communal, but in Europe it’s individual? Great history lesson.🙄

Also consider that our elected officials and others dont know and are somehow exempt from having to know what thethey are doing. Recently one of bidens peeps couldnt explain why the government sells bonds. I think the future is fucked... either distopian or communist!

The huwite supremes are a real threat. Take your experimental injection, bigot. Russia Russia Russia. This hack got all the elitist talking points in.

I do think that these interviews for Dan are great. Most have been with great historians or military minds that he just allows them to explain their book. In this he has some real push back and cutting questions. It was refreshing.

I like Max as an author, but as a commentator he sounds just like all of the other mainstream commentators. It’s very clear that he has his biases and has decided what is ”objectively” true. My biggest problem with conversations about civics, politics, the economy, etc... is that most are not willing to double check their work. It’s just people talking at each other, not to each other.

A General might seem like a more important target, but are you familiar with LGOP, little groups of paratroopers? Would love to hear you do something on how Airborne units were used,

Was a bit diicult to hear the fine guest. Even though this seemed to be a remote call, his audio was both quite and thin. In other words, an interesting discussion but hamstrung by unequal audio ser ups. Great discussion otherwise. 👍👍

I used to play a game called Insurgency that was one of those "hyperrealistic" shooters (not really but it had bullet suppression, no HUD, quick TTK, etc) and the gunfights felt INTENSE. I could feel my heart pounding as i was peaking around a corner, knowing that my enemy was either waiting to take me out of the fight or i would be waiting to do the same to him

Theres a lot of talk about whether violent videogames "desensitize" players to violence, but i might offer an alternative: does the top-down war game where you dont have to watch a guy spray blood out of his bullet wounds trivialize violence? Saying "25 of your guys died" and writing it on a piece of paper certainly feels like less of a loss of life than watching 25 guys get mowed down by a mounted machine gun
