Nope! John doesn’t say ”Ey up!” before While My Guitar Gently Weeps. It is him saying ”Oh yeah”, backwards.

Easily the most intelligent, in depth, and interesting Beatles related podcast out there. Robert always has great topics and interesting guests. A show suggestion - we all know that John and Yoko made lots of short movies. I can’t find that they’ve been released anywhere in any kind of easily obtainable collection. It would be great to have a show that corrals their movies and goes in depth into the why and how of them. Keep up the great work Mr Rodriguez!

Robert, great episode, thank you both Suggestion, re- your comment around timecode 1hr30mins: why not make an episode wherein you and a guest sequence a ’one album’ version of the double White Album? Which tracks to keep/cut and why? Could be interesting. Is Glass Onion any good? Is Rev#9 brilliant or bilge? And so on. Keep up the good work, Mike, Transylvania, Romania.

I was disappointed in these, two Double Fantasy episodes. They didn’t really talk about the album at all

Great podcast - except for that horrible cover of, “In My Life.” Why do women singers all sound the same these days?!

Surprising... Put it there is a common phrase, in my youth..

It’s clear to me, after listening to this great podcast, that I’ll need to watch Jackson’s, “Get Back,” for the sixth time. In the summer of 2020, while putting together a number of Beatles jigsaw puzzles, I listened to hours and hours and days of days to the Nagra tapes. As I recall Yoko’s presence was heard/felt to a much larger degree than what Jackson shows. If I’d been in the band I would’ve found her presence a major distraction/irritation. One could argue that, once a movie/TV camera is inserted into a situation, it ceases to be real.

Great show, Mr Rodriguez- the most insightful Beatles podcast on the web. Having done the fan thing...wouldn't Cold Turkey sandwich by the Best it's have been something else...Ok, let's keep Eric, but drop the Klaus. I'm sure he's a lovely bloke and a great artist, but he can't hold a candle to the Macca.

Great listen for Beatles fans!

Im glad they didnt cut the bickering! I found it annoying to listen to, but after it was done it made me realize something that wasnt explicitly said... The personalities and emotions at the centre of the beatles story are so complicated and yet compelling, and that adds such a wonder layer of interest to all things beatles. The fact that two beatle super-nerds can have such a disagreement is wonderful really

Ep #209.. great show! One of my fave's.. love the back and forth banter.. and good job Robert in reducing the wind noise- one more thing to remember when you filter out the noise is also add a high-pass filter (120hz or so).. that takes out the rumbling too.. good job!
