As a Norwegian American who's first great grandparents came to Minnesota, USA, I enjoyed this podcast very much. Both my parents families came from Norway and first landed here in Minnesota, in the southwestern part of the state. Then, they moved to Wisconsin where my parents were born and raised. I'm very grateful for your "Life in Norway" podcast. Besides my actual name, my user name online is "New Age Norseman." You are located, as I understand, in Trondheim. That is where my mother's family has deep roots going back centuries. Mother's maiden name was Bodsberg, with deep roots southwest of the city, in the Byneset area. Many ancestral family weddings were performed at the Byneset Church, as well as funerals. Thanks again.

Hello, when you introduce a musician to talk about Norwegian folk music the first thing I hear is classical music. Both my parents families came from Norway and I've had a growing interest in learning more about all things Norwegian culture. The most important folk musician to me is a woman that plays hardanger fiddle named Annbjørg Lien. This is the artist you need to have on your show when it comes to Norwegian folk music! She started with traditional music and then built on that foundation.
