It’s not an unusual thing for people to not consider the prospective of others. For instance, the story about the dad and his son. The dad probably thought ”I provide you with a home, food, stuff from my work and you think you might give me some of the money from the suit! Go to your room and think about what you just said to me.”
Family in Israel. Really? What about Palestinian families. I mean when you present through the lens of family all can sympathise. But to deliberately chose to present Israel family while there is more then genocide (if that is even possible) happening in Palestine is a disgrace. My favourite show. Disappointed.
I LOVE THIS EPISODE. Especially Bobby’s story. I wasn’t as bad as he was, but was a bit similar. I’m in long-term recovery now and still am prone to the same kind of self-defeating self-talk that he had. It’s hard to let go of those old feelings that we have about ourselves, even when they are no longer true. There are a lot of us out here like that. We need to pull out that tape and stomp on that f***er! One day at a time, people, that’s all we got. RIP Bobby.

Thos is ridiculous. Becca could not find an emergency room in the middle of the night? She chose to wait this out for a clinic to open. Something is wrong with this story.40 years ago I had a pregnancy where I too lost amniotic fluid and I did deliver early and the baby was stillborn. I did not wait for a business to open. I went to a hospital.
One final thought, a lot of the people coming here really don’t want to stay. They just want to work and then go back across the border to their families. But our border policies have made that sort of thing impossible anymore so now these people have to make a choice.
Here’s another thought. Everyone hears how it seems as though hackers can easily infiltrate systems. Maybe a hacker could just open up this app and fix it, making it easier for immigrants to get in.
I apologize. I probably have a simplistic view of a much more complex situation but my comment is why don’t the people on the border who want to grant asylum to asylum seekers just lie about the asylum seekers circumstances so they fit the rules for granting? Then they could just tell them something like ”This is your story now and you’re sticking to it.” People at the highest levels of our government are actually pretty stupid and rely heavily on those at lower
The Idaho mother story had no business being in an episode with this title. It’s as if the producers had to trick people into listening. I’m certain the drama is real but I’m also certain it was dramatized for effect.
Blah blah blah, so tired of hearing about Russia and Ukraine, this episode will be getting skipped
