Thanks for the reminder, I got my Gentleman Johnny’s party train shirt. I’ve wanted one for 5 years.
I can’t believe Mike has overlooked the heroic example of Marcus Drusosson, who would obviously have been the revolt’s most important leader. I bet Mike believes he actually died in an airlock “accident.” Hey, Mike, where’d you learn your Martian history? Saturn?
I gave up on this podcast after two minutes…,
This story is excellent, I love the post hoc history narrative style.
Haven’t a scooby what’s going on here, but it’s highly entertaining.
I’ve had to pause multiple times to laugh. The ”Epic Fail” adding material to the rocket to make the flames black... that is totally a thing they’d do.
Absolutely love the concept for this new series. Can’t wait to listen to it all!
The time has come,’ the Walrus said, To talk of many things: Of shoes — and ships — and sealing-wax — Of cabbages — and kings — And why the sea is boiling hot — And whether pigs have wings.’
I look forward (listening in Aug 2024) to the next one. I did buy your 1st hard Cover Book.. and have need Roman reenacting (Legio II AVG in California) since 2005. Glad you make money on your endeavours and Felicitias, Fortuna, Moneta and the Faits all smiled on you.
Glory to the Whites and Greens!!
Sad about this Provisional June 1917 offensive. It basically knock Austria-Hungarian empire out of the War. ROMANIA joined in… 5 weeks of success…. Then German units counterattacked and destroyed the Russian Armies and over ran Romania… by September 1917, whole Russian units were just shooting their officers and walking away. If Russia pulled out in June 1917, Germany could have attacked the allies in October/November … just before 100,000 USA troops started to arrive…EACH MONTH!
True levelers are bad based af
The Mad Monk! But those crazy eyes!
I just started listening. The first I listen to was appendix nine and now I’m going to roll back to the beginning of the appendixes. I especially like the ads. The ads are very funny.
As a Rhode Islander I truly appreciate that we’re still rememberd as the first to declare independence from England but last to ratify the constitution. We still don’t make sense even 250 years later
I suppose if you’re going to make a science fiction story based on the history of revolutions, it is going to be bleak as . Duncan would have been betraying his premise if he hadn’t done this one, but geez.
