THANK YOU!!!! I scrolled looking for this. I got sober in AA listening to redemption stories. I never had a sponsor, never gave a lead. I very rarely commented, but I would if the speaker said something the really resonated. AA was helpful for the first year of sobriety, after a while it’s the same old. Some folks just don’t have anywhere else to go or much of anything productive going on in their lives.

Listening in Sept ’23, as BM sinks into the mud, lines like ”I’ve heard it’s quite hard to leave” & ”if they were there for more than nine days I’m sure a hierarchy would develop” is frankly hilarious.

Hmm, I’m more in the get the F out camp after hearing this. OK a kid might catch up later but I am not sure it’s worth the risk. Plus the anti-left handedness feels like a huge red flag!

Love love love this podcast. The ”Devils Avocado” is soooo hard to listen to though. If ”Devil’s Advocate” is uncomfortable to say, May I suggest an alternative? Try polemicist. Or anything else...

Okay, so maybe (some) Republicans get what they deserve, however, one doesn’t have to be very clever to make a comment linking them all together. But ”Karens”? That’s just mean. Those women’s parents had no idea what ridicule would be heaped on their baby girls when they grew up. All bi-sexual comedians don’t march in lock-step do they?

Don’t ruin your credibility by announcing to your listeners that you don’t know who Walter Cronkite is. There are plenty of other podcasts to listen to by people who are well-informed.

Fun podcast and insightful. I can’t wait to hear one on the cult of political parties.

Fun and scary, not just about cults but about the US preponderance of gullibility.
