Very sad story. I plan on getting the book for sure. I also want to say that I enjoyed the ending to this episode. Going through something now and I keep thinking it will get better but always disappointed. I get it now much better abd what you guys said. Sometimes life gives you lemons and you’re not obligated to make lemonade. I felt this. Thank you. Going to bring it up at my parent support group next week.

You all should do a story on the flash flood at Albert’s Pike in the Ouachita National Forest. It was devastating, and so many people died. I lived near the area when it happened.

Wish that the guest speaker could have spoken more.

I was really curious about the topic but the way it was presented was frustrating to listen to. Or more the commentary on everything and how off handed it felt saying that it was part of a religion but then spinning around how horrible it was. I feel like the topic could have been done more respectfully.

What a horrible human being. Ugh. Note to self. Run a background check and also run away if the previous wife died in any accident. Side note. My parents passed away when I was 7. There is huge suspicion that my father killed my mother. I’m 40 now. I feel terrible for their daughter. I know the mental turmoil I’ve gone through and continue to do so. Not sure which is worse, knowing that he killed her like she does or always wondering. It’s still a lose lose situation either way.

So I just got a camper 6 months ago for my daughter(12yrs) and I. I have been wanting to take her camping for the longest time but was way too scared to tent camp, even at a campground. It’s just a two person camper with the kitchen on the back. Let me tell you, listening to your episodes, and especially this one, I am so glad we have this camper!! I also truly truly appreciate the safety tips as we venture out into the parks on our adventures. You guys are awesome and truly love this podcast.

Loved this series! Never heard of this island. Looked it up and there are some beautiful pictures from there. Lots of wildlife. Very interesting.
