This episode gave me an uncomfortable feeling even though I’m retired and not likely to ever look for work again.
When I hit play on this podcast, I was stopped at a red light and looked over to see a sign stuck in the ground advertising stem cell therapy. It struck me that I have never been so immediately confronted by life being reflected in the media I was consuming.
Women be shopping and supporting fast fashion. lol what a job of an episode
I just heard the first episode and I loved it. It reminded me of the weirdness of combining finances and spending my then boyfriend now husband of 13yrs money. Can't wait to hear the rest.
Great conversations but if the host is not comfortable asking what they each make then how can she handle this topic? Without knowing what Terrence makes, none of this has reference. And Nika is not independent. She makes poor money choices (spending so much on grad school but having no apparent work ethic or ability to pay it off). She gets an attitude because he had more money while he is already paying all her bills? She needs to check herself.
Dave Ramsey uses the snowball method not avalanche
The wedding guest expense grinds my gears because it’s disingenuous. The second friend getting married saw how much everyone spent on the first bride, and set a budget of $1500 per head. It’s greedy. If you have plans that add up to that amount, fine. But to decide that you want to committ people to a budget because you don’t expect to cover any of the costs is an overreach and selfish. I would politely decline.
