Job 38:14 explains the earth’s shape is like clay pressed under a seal. If we understand that we live in the “little season” (Rev 20) and that Satan is deceiving the world, then we see “science” is a deception to make God and the Bible to be a liar when in fact God just told us the shape of the earth and so the sun stopping is no longer a mystery. This thought that “they just didn’t have the tools to know” is what creates so many doubts about what God has already told us.
