Very good explanation on coffee. Clean, straight forward, and easy understanding English.

Great episode, very informative. I’m a Roaster and owner of a coffee company. I generally prefer single origin coffee for the taste and exceptional quality. Ethiopian coffee stands out the best in my opinion and based on Custimer review.. Couple of suggestion/ correction in historical context. Ethiopia was not land locked until May 21, 1991 when it granted Eritrea its independence from Ethiopia. Until then, Ethiopia had access to 3 ports- The Red Sea, Assad and Djibouti. Hence during early coffee discoveries and trade you mentioned, Ethiopia was a vibrant trading gateway for the region. Ethiopia and Yemen share common tradition and ethnically share common heritage. As you rightly noted, Coffee and coffee ceremony has significant cultural foundation in the Ethiopian culture more than in Yemen. Its cultural, communal and spiritual. Researchers estimate there are 124 coffee species in the wild. Much of it comes from the forests of the Arabica genetic birthplace - Ethiopia.
