My favourite podcast ever. Claudia is adorable and Tanya is brilliant. Entertaining and informative, providing important access to see that mental health struggles are common and treatable. Thank you and please do lots more, as I've listened to them all and feel withdrawal symptoms!!!

"Everybody's truth is different. We're all looking at things from our own prospectives". So true! If more people were aware of this, then there would be alot less hurt and fall outs in the world.

I just had to comment having listened to this truly heart breaking episode. I listened with a constant lump in my throat and at times tears in my eyes. What an absolutely amazing beautiful brave soul Simran is. She has done an unbelievably brave thing by talking about her experience because she will have helped people realise, just like she has felt all this time that she is not alone. Wow truly inspirational. I know for a fact her mum will have loved her beyond anything in the whole wide world.

OMG! John is me! Can someone tell me if what he (and his father) are suffering from is C-PTSD? (As in Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - used by a series of traumas, mainly in childhood) I've noticed thus term never gers used in these therapy sessions, but a psychotherapist diagnosed me almost as soon as I told her my history which is remarkably similar to John's. I want to share this with my damaged family! But I'm scared. I also think this needs to be on telly! More ppl need to understand the damage done by agressive anxious parents who usually always seem to team up with an anxious avoidant partner to breed with in my experience! More help is needed on the NHS to put an end to the anxious cycle throughout family generations. I only ever get offered counselling or CBT. Whereas like Tanya says it needs LONG TERM PSYCHOTHERAPY. GP is just happy to stick me on anti-depressants for yrs with no support or long term therapy. It's so sound that there are probably millions of us suffering like this. I stopped the cycle of physical abuse with my children but sadly they have still managed to inherit my anxiety and perfectionist self-hatred. They say depression is anger turn in on ourselves. Thank you so much for all episodes but this one especially. I've never seen or heard myself reflected back. I feel seen. And more motivated to seek long term help. Altho on Universal Credit I honestly don't know how I'll afford it...

Finally somewhere acknowledges that you can have an anxious brain without showing any (obvious) outwardly signs! I know it's good not to always blame the parents for everything. But I think it would've been nice to acknowledge that maybe if his parents had handled their house move better, to acknowledge and sympathise with his feelings of not wanting to move, it would've felt more balanced to me - rather than blaming James. Maybe it was cut out in the edit...?
