So Good to have this back. I always felt that the original album analysis was a bit once over lightly, especially for the best Dylan album of the 80s, by a distance. If you have any interest in Dylan, follow this podcast, it’s enlightening and brilliant.

I’ve been waiting for you to do this one! Perhaps the album resonates more with US listeners because of the material being so steeped in Americana. Love the podcast!

Couldn't agree more about workingman blues #2. I remember listening to it on repeat endlessly when it was first released. I love the line "I can live on my CDs"

Decided to dive in deep to Dylan and knew I wasn’t gonna be able to do it on my own. I’m listening to a couple of podcasts to assist me on my journey and this has been a trusty companion to come back to. If you’re looking for something to paint the world that each song was birthed into this is perfect if you want a “cliff notes” version so you can get to the listening! Sometimes I pause to listen to the song he’s discussing and pop back and forth which I recommend for first time Dylan listeners. Highly recommend!
