Thanks Dale and Kevin for this episode! The sovereignty of God brings great comfort, meaning and assurance in our suffering. Being healthy is good, but God says that if you have faith and perseverance, you lack nothing.

Iā€™ve been chronically ill since 2015. I was incorrectly diagnosed with MCAS, but in 2021 I was correctly diagnosed with POTS. I didnā€™t improve until this year, when I started to used Brain Retraining as taught by the CFS Recovery YouTube channel. BTW, for anyone suffering from compulsive ā€ticsā€, IBD or other chronic health problems, see carnivore.diet and search through the ā€success storiesā€ to see if a Carnivore diet has helped others w/ your health condition.

I love the fact that you put out short videos that get quickly to the main points. Thanks for another great teaching episode!

Thanks for the encouragement to preach, not be ā€winsomeā€, and to use the law to condemn sin!

Very interesting! I wonder if the Pandemic and the churchā€™s response (shutting down ā€™churchā€™) has changed or reinforced your views on house churches.

I'm getting an error! I think it's been scrubbed. Our government must be protecting us from biblical truth. šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

I listened to this a few days ago and it's great. Now it's not working? Has the regime corrupted it?

I did like your comment on the subject of celebrating the thing that Christ came and conquered. Well said.

Jack o lanterns were used as a type of ward (like a gargoyle) to scare away evil spirits not become possessed by them.

Celtic comes from the Greek word Keltoi so it's a solid K sound not an s. Sorry. Pet peave of mine. It's my ancestry.

4 mins of actually "answering the question" and the rest pushing your seminary. Poor show. Fear mongering without facts or use of the Bible, would be a better description rather than answering the question.

I would feel defensive because breastfeeding is not sexual and I shouldn't feel like it is. Children should grow up not in shame but in understanding of the beauty and strength of motherhood and that a woman feeding her children is natural. The push for radical change is to get away from the ideals of purity within the bible that can ultimately hurt us, which has pushed us over centuries to see sex and our bodies, even a woman breastfeeding as shameful. Id love your thoughts! Interesting šŸ‘Œ

My NIV is from almost 30 years ago. Even wording in newer NIV translations are a little different here and there.

I like how you guys don't just talk about being passionate and on fire for the Bible bit what it is and how to read it and your relationship with it

So then how do we interpret the many areas in scripture where it dose talk about predestination, election and the foreknowledge of God?

4 years ago reply 0

I agree! thank you! I'm LDS and I have a friend who asked me what is the point of going to church...this will help me direct the conversation.

4 years ago reply 0

Excellent example. Flip the narrative, and it seems ridiculous. You are exactly right. We have a friend who is a single parent, who homeschooled their children in the evening, after work. This was difficult. It required diligence. But the Lord is faithful, and these children are doing very well.

Love all the Real Christianity podcasts and this one is no exception. Part two to this discussion would be really useful I think, especially as this is such a volatile topic in western culture at the moment. In particular I would like to be better equipped in knowing a man's role in the matter of abortion. I say this because in my life I have met multiple women who have been talked into having abortions by their boyfriends and even husbands. Also, as the church how should we go about supporting women in these situations where they have perhaps been abandoned by a man for wanting to keep their baby? According to the bible, what are the options for these women who rightly decide to keep their baby but are going to struggle hugely to raise it? What about in the case of rape or incest? Lots of questions but would love another episode on this! Thanks for the amazing work you guys are doing with this podcast!

Since this scripture applies to men and women. If women must cover all the time, then men could never wear a hat. There are many areas in scripture where God directs us through the Holy Spirit, in the details of how He calls us to practice something. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.

@rmxsmn : This has brought more confusion to me then understanding. We are asked to cover our heads while praying or prophesying, yet you say you don't cover your head all the time in public? What if you need to say a quick prayer for someome you meet, or while your driving etc? You made the statement that a head covering is a visual reinforcement for that inward conviction, how then can you justify going without in public? Are you ashamed to be seen that way? How far can we go for our Lord? Are we trying to get away with "just enough" so we can get to heaven are are we willing to go all the way? It wud interest me to hear a response from you!

I really liked how you guys emphasized the context of the instructions, like the church is not every gathering, and that there are different expectations in a church setting, home setting, and public setting!
