I Love this conversation. I also appreciate the nomad language - and both recognition and encouragement around this whole concept of map making. we’ve been struggling since some of this she we first learned the name Jim Herrington back in the late 90’s when we were part of a UBC church.

I just love this podcast. I loved it the first time, and I loved it again. The only downside is after I hear the two of you talk, I wish I’d started this journey a whole lot younger. Thank you for your leadership and for the way you’re equipping leaders in every facet and walk of life.

thank you for this podcast. when I hear this kind of ”off the map” thinking an action, I become very animated internally. I’m sure there are a lot of other people in the third third of life who resonate. and don’t quite know what to do with the vibrations.

I find myself wishing that you would reference and link to Ruth Haley Barton’s works and also to the strengthening the Soul of your Leadership podcast. She has interviewed Robert Creech in the past. The website is Transformingcenter.org. I believe that Ruth has a very well balanced and thorough approach to spiritual rhythms and how they impact leadership. She is also highly in favor of learning and applying Bowen’s family systems theory in our lives and in our leadership.

This series has been enormously helpful to me and amazingly, perhaps supernaturally, timely. I happen to be listening to a podcast series over at strengthening the soul of your leadership with Steve cuss at the same time. I’m listening to these. The synchronicity of course is amazing, because they are intentionally discussing Bowen family systems theory as applied to all of our systems in which we’re involved, with the goal of helping leaders to have more healthy souls from which they can lead.

Unfortunately a comment cannot be edited. I wanted to change it to say that perhaps developing authentic communities would be a great podcast series. I like the term fostering but also nurturing, and some of us are struggling with finding or founding such communities.

Jim and Tricia, this podcast was very meaningful to me- and I suspect to many others. The whole idea of creating, fostering, finding, and nurturing community has never been more timely. It’s comforting to know that many people are ready to explore and experiment with new ways to be in community together, deeply caring for each other and entering into authentic relationships. I think I’ve been searching for that kind of community for a very long time.
