Corporations are trying to take control of fandoms, even though the power of fandom lies with the fans and not with the corporations. Which makes me think of labor unions, which we need more of.

In New Cannan, Ct there is a land trust that is dedicated/ preserved soley to firefly tours. Opening night they have a food truck, drimk and dessert and a guided walk. Each night after till July 9th there are guided walks to see the fireflys!!!! It is one of the most AMAZING EXPERIENCES EVER

I really enjoy this episode because I learned a BUNCH of new historical and biological facts and then the sociocultural aspects of friend and canine. I have a dog and she is a 11 month mountain cur/black mouth cur blend and possibly pitbull and this episode ignited even more of a desire to learn more.

I love this podcast so much, especially ones involving a specialized craft. The only episode I couldn’t listen to was on butterflies because of the mere mention of moths. I made it through the otter episode, thus proving the existence of irrational fears.
