I do Riman Reenacting and have a silver coin of 114 AD (Trajan) with Sol (called Soli sometimes) on it and a young man with sun rays. Looked a lot like the Sol statue sol on coins is often has his right hand up like a Roman salute and coins say “ORIENS AUG “ and ORIENS means “From the East.” As the sun rises from the East. The modern word “Oriental” means from the east. Sole also has “Soli Invicto” which means “Unconquerable sun”. Often with captives chained at his feet.
