Great podcast. Colleagues and myself would come up with crazy scientific ideas during tea breaks at work and then spend quite a bit of time trying to debunk them or how we could test the theory.

Apophenia is anew word for me! But it seems to fit many of the "religious experiences" that I've heard people describe. I'll have to go read more about that now, thanks.

Hi Dan. So good to learn that you now have a podcast. Just listened to and enjoy the first episode. Interesting to hear that you and Catz mentioned pareidolia which is something vague or obscure and interpreting it as clear and distinct. Have you also heard of Apophenia? It is loosely related to Pareidolia but the sufferers seen meanings and connections in unrelated phenomena such as seeing a face in smoke and believing that it signifies something or that there is a message behind it.
