The scientist guy who died was part of a Norwegian government team who stole her as a baby but regrets his decision and and steals her from the government and raised her as his daughter. It's not a horror movie even calling it dark fantasy is really pushing it, it's..a very kind movie

Although I like your research, I disagree with your opinions on the basic principles of taking 'cultural' traditions and saying that the reason something I'd demonized is because they have limited language to express certain concepts therefore the concepts become demonized. No, it means that the cultures that are involved in using various entities and'making deals' is a very ancient relationship used by the Devil, or demons to have control over humans. Case in point in the Bible in which Christ was taken to the summit of a buildings by the Devil and offered power, game, and everything if He would worship the Devil. The idea of giving some kind of exchange with an entity is already not good. There is no actual good deal that a spiritual body can benefit from. Why doesn't the entity just give power. What need does it have for a person to give anythi ng back? See. A demon is evil and envious of humans having a potential place in heaven with God. Basically the Devil wants to stick it to God by bringing down all humanity.
