I know I sound like an irresponsible git, but 2 things I most got out of all this are that Archer is a serious talent, and that Smith is a warrior. I thought neither before. I also now have serious respect for Marnus and even more respect for Cummins who took most of Archers fireballs during that spell. As a Kiwi I support neither team but that was some seriously compelling sport. This is why test cricket MUST survive. I know, I'm a caveman, but as a qualified anthropologist that doesn't entirely make me feel ashamed of myself either.
