I’m planning to go teach in Japan. This is good content. I have taught for 15 years in American, your comments about 2 classes of kids acting completely different is so true. I also think it might be this factor. Japan might not officially segregate into advanced and average kids, but I bet the admin puts the better kids together so they can progress. And then there is the ”bad Apple” syndrome where 1 child changes the dynamics of the whole group. Thanks for content eberyonr!
Fascinating! I love going back and listening to these old episodes that I missed!
"It's not their (the teacher) responsibility to make sure they learn English, it's their responsibility to make sure they can pass a test". Very interesting. It's the exact same way in the US. When you take a foreign language class in the US, you're not actually expected to learn the language, just pass the test.
You both deserve waaay more subscribers. My favorite YouTubers seem to have few subscribers compared to the ones who I don't really care for. It makes me sad :(
It's important to remember that negative foreigners are most likely extremely negative people in their home countries, as well. Great episode as always, Kev!
I'm completely against itineraries for vacations/holidays. To me, it's almost impossible for me to relax and enjoy the trip if I'm having to follow a timetable. I enjoy making plans in the moment. And staying away from the tourist traps! Haha
Awesome, awesome interview. She deserves way more subscribers than she has. Her videos are so well produced and informative, I'm truly surprised that she isn't one of the top YouTubers in Japan!
Kev and PJ!? My two favorite YouTubers!
Fantastic episode! Definitely have to check out the first interview!
Hey, Kev! Long time fan, new listener to the podcast! Amazing job! I think I've found my new workout podcast. Cheers!
Sorry for spelling, I wasn’t paying attention.
