My top tip when moving is to dedicate one moving box per person in the household and mark it ’FIRST NIGHT’ + name. In it put bedding, towels, toiletries, clean pj’s, clean clothes for next morning. I moved on my own so I also put in coffee, some cutlerie. I put in everything I thought was essential to have a comfortable first evening, night and morning. This saves you go tearing through boxes looking for all things .
We are so delighted to hear that! 😊
I really get inspired to continue my decluttering with you lovely ladies in my headphones. Thank you so much for your generousity!!! / Anne from Sweden

Thank you for the tips. My whole house really is a bunch of just in case items. I have found all of those hiding places you talked about, the attic, the basement and the spare room.
Thanks so much for your lovely comments Karen, we really appreciate it and are thrilled to hear that we are brightening your day! We hope you have a lovely day too 😊
Moments ago, I started listening to this podcast, and thought to myself, ”this topic is extra relevant to me, and especially to the season I am”. Thank you for ALL the time you pour into this podcast. It keeps changing my life in BIG ways. Since I tend to take life too seriously, your upbeat perspective is a gift. Keep on laughing! Hearing the way you treat each other and the laughter you share brightens my day every time.
I discovered your podcast in 2023, and am so glad I did! Your upbeat tone, positive perspective and practical, accessible suggestions are one of the tools that is leading me away from the fatigue and hassle that stem from disaster areas throughout my home. Not only am I giving up less often, but I am acquiring more effective decluttering strategies. My favorite result is that feeling distressed, overwhelmed, paralyzed or helpless about the disorder in my home keeps diminishing. The sun is out!
This was the first of your podcast episodes that I have listened to. I have also registered for your free RYH Challenge 2024.

Thanks excellent podcast I took part in the declutter challenge and will become part of your community at some point. I’ve been putting my christmas decorations away. I know alot later than most but your podcasts have helped me sort out what can go to the charity shop and I normally have my decorations in about 10 cardboard boxes but now I’ve sorted them in a much better way and got fid of half the boxes. Your so right about the life and work bag when they are chaotic it causes me such thank you

Hello, I have recently been listening to your podcast, and I’ve been struggling to declutter my boxes since I moved into my new build house. I live with my adult daughter, and I have just retired. I am still trying to find inspiration to put a stamp on my house and make it my home! How do I declutter when people interfer: Why are you getting rid of it and persuading you to keep it? Or the opposite, get rid of everything! Many thanks
