Thank you for talking about difficulty in prayer! Your words helped me to be confident in my struggles with prayer.
Yep, that “click” thing at the end is annoying, but it’s okay, it sanctifies me!
I always found this translation rather strange. In Spanish we say “and don’t LET US FALL into temptation”, as in give us the strength not to fall into it; nothing about leading us there
Actually most women I know are mad at Jesus for rebuking Martha! (They don’t think Martha was wrong, they think Jesus was wrong, lol). My impression is that we don’t allow a bit of mysticism, some level of idealism in our lives, we risk just being “too” practical and never going full into our discipleship
You are right Father. I think they reconsider things these days because they lack the will and imagination to create something new. They stand on others shoulders trying to be greater and it comes off cheap
Hi Father. I go to a traditional Latin Mass. We wear dresses and veils. Men wear suits. I understand what you are saying. At the same time people have a tendency to be lazy about their appearance. They will dress up for a concert and wear shorts as Mass. To me it is about human dignity and understanding Whose house you are in when you go to Mass. God bless you and your work. Kathy Williams
I think the wife is as much at fault because she made the decision to put the whole trip in jeopardy just because she wanted a certain kind of coffee
Would love to know how do you spell father Benedict ” CRUSHEL”. I CAN’T FIND HIS BOOK. PLEASE
loved this message
I love this concentrated apologetic teaching! Why do we need an argument between some Protestant folks and Catholics? It’s like the iconic 1980s Miller Lite beer commercials! One side says, ”Tastes great!” and the other side says ”Less filling!” and they keep shouting back and forth. Why not just agree on the good that we have in common and enjoy the beer together?
this is a powerful messages because it reduces the shame of continually failing to love and obey like we are taught and rather to rely on the mercy of God that we can only try and do better.
Father Mike God bless you and everyone at Ascension!
Fantastic message. It’s worth it listening to it a few more times.
