I guess you won’t mention that Nancy pelosi had her granddaughter right there to be the one to document Jan 6 as a documentary.

I think halal means permissible, and haram means forbidden.

I tend to think that government agents or special forces guys wouldn't show up to a site in full military gear, with a Patty Bigfoot decal on their SUV, right? It sounds too goofy to be government, in the same way that the old MiB stories seemed odd. I would lean towards the human interactions being part of the phenomenon. But who knows? What if information is being suppressed for a good reason?

I wonder what the source is for the claim that Dietrich was a Nazi spy. She seemed to be ideologically opposed to them, and her lifestyle seemed incompatible with them. She helped refugees leave Germany before the war.

This is the best discussion of Santa Muerte that I've heard on a podcast. Thanks!

There's nothing wrong with making money, and I'm sure that most people in the paranormal field are not getting rich off it, but has anyone ever done a study of people who have profited financially from the field? I'm just curious as to what that top ten list would look like.

Regarding 258: I've heard David Jacobs say something to the effect that he knows which of the subject accounts are real, because he knows what details to look for. So I guess if it matches the narrative he expects then it's legit. At the same time, he claims to not be biased and to not influence the subject. But even if you could somehow conduct hypnotic regression without bias, how would you avoid the subject having already read your material about aliens, and contaminating their memories? In the movie Best in Show, a guy whose job it is to negotiate with attempted suicide victims confesses that they always jump, the obvious joke being that maybe he's just bad at his job. I think Jacobs brings to mind the maleability of memory and it's dangers. A police interrogator might congratulate himself for getting a suspect to confess after a 24 hour interrogation, but did he get the truth or just the narrative he had already constructed? During the Satanic Panic, there were both people who received false memories of being abused and people who received false memories of abusing others. You can construct memories and implant them in others, and then they become real for the subject. A false memory is as much part of your life experience as a real one. It becomes you. So, in a way, are hypnotic regressionists essentially creating these beings and traumas? To take it to a weirder level, is the Other using these researchers to do something that is easier done through imagination (and memory is imagination) than through physically difficult or impossible activities?
