I agree with Stewart more than his guest. His guest is completely blind to the problem with the executive branch creating, administrating, and judging essentially law, eliminating much of the protection in the Constitution.

If this case doesn't scare you about the power of government, I don't know what it would take. The government investigators committed fraud and no punishment or sanctions. No real way for a civil suit. No accountability for the appellate courts. And I still can't figure out the motivation for proving arson.

I'm beginning to think the way you pick guests is to do a search, "Those who hate Trump," and start making calls. At least this guest was honest about wanting him gone from the beginning and has a couple legit issues, mostly regarding his businesses. Getting Trump out of office doesn't address that Congress via legislation ceded constitutional authority to the president. I support Congress reeling in presidential power over trade, war, and spending. And putting some definition about what you can and can't receive as an elected official would be nice, too.

I do like the assertion by the guest that impeachment is a political process. I appreciate the honesty at least. The politicians pushing this whole effort want us to believe that they're primarily protecting the Constitution. But it's mostly an attempt to get your party more power.

This is the kind of show I love. This episode espouses opposition to what the president is doing without the underlying personal dislike of him. Excellent content. I appreciate that the interviewee calls a tariff what it really is - a tax on us.
