I eat Naked Barley in place of oats. Seems better for my blood glucose- is it as good for Beta glucan?

Oh and by the way, a 102 year old going out of his way to wave at pretty girls isn’t a good ole boy, he’s an old lech, serving on younger women. I love Zoe and your podcasts but this guy was very sexist.

That theoretical old guy having a wonderful life. Breakfast, seeing friends, glass of wine, nice long lunch, little nap, friends, dinner. Dan said ”he’s going to live 12 years longer than...” I thought he was going to say ”than his wife” who presumable slaving away preparing the delicious food and cleaning his house. Making the bed he’s having his nap in.

Excellent. Very positive. Recognition that we tend to eat unhealthily around Christmas, but with the message that you can eat healthily and still enjoy some treats.

Really interesting, literally with food for thought. But I heard the advice to ignore the low fat foods and go for full-fat foods for breakfast, in order to avoid feeling hungry before the next meal. As a listener who is on medication for high cholesterol and for high blood pressure, I particularly need to moderate my intake of saturated fat, sugar and salt. Or maybe I am wrong to equate ”full fat” with ”saturated fat”? The emphasis of the programme was, what makes a healthy breakfast, and what will make you feel full rather than wanting to snack mid-morning. Some of us (maybe many of us) have to balance these aspects with other priorities.
