very interesting & useful
These words in this lesson will assist a person with building friendships, empathy. Thanks Daria!
I'm enjoying the podcast! Currently, I'm reviving my Russian skills and hope to improve. I'm relieved to know your here!
I left Russia as a young child and this helps me reconnect both with the culture and language.
You have translated "деноминирован" as "denominated", but unfortunately I don't know what that word means, although I am a native speaker of American English. Could you please add an explanation in other terms? Thank you!
Thanks for this. As an English poetry lover and an aspiring Russian speaker (advanced beginner), it was a special treat.
very good
Actually in English we also use the word "practically" with more than one meaning: it can mean "in a practical way", e.g., "He is a practically minded person." But a more common meaning is "almost totally": he was so tired he practically fell asleep standing up. = ... he almost fell asleep... It seems to me that these are practically (!) the same two meanings that the Russian word "практически" has.
Happy birthday Daria. Thanks for the excelkent podcast. Im studying Russian now at SPBU and listen to your podcast on the way to university. Your amazing podcast helps to give me an ear for tge language the way Russians speak. Pkus your enthusiasm is great. Way to go!
