I’m listening to Season 2 and this woman’s false speaking voice is soooo annoying. If I didn’t care about the subject matter I wouldn’t even bother to listen. 🤮

ONE MORE THING: I’m grateful for her info on this time period, and two such incredible authors, but I am sick to death of her ’Reader, I married him,’ nonsense. You are embarrassing yourself.

Re: S1 - I cannot stand the dual presenters, not necessary in any way. They also both sound like they are reading. Criminal in a podcast Re: S2 - I’m only listening to this because I have an extreme interest in the material. The narrator has such a forced, oily way with words that it’s extremely off-putting. Just present the material. I’m not interested in her tabloid style, even if these things are sort of seedy or juicy.

Drives me nuts that both presenters keep excusing themselves for whatever perception may be misunderstood by the audience.

As fascinating as this topic is. No one single person mentions how AIDS affected the porn industry. They just enter the industry without caring about getting STDs and /or AIDS.

If you want to hear a podcast that is awkwardly narrated and blames a 15 year old girl for her own exploitation then this is the podcast for you. I felt dirty listening to this series and not in a good way. More like just eeewwww.
