LSU TIGERS TRANSFER PORTAL UPDATES | DB Sage Ryan enters transfer portal, LSU lands SEC WR, DB

Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers were active on Friday in the transfer portal landing two players from two different SEC West foes. Mississippi State WR Zavion Thomas and Texas A&M DB Jardin Gilbert, both Louisiana natives, have committed to play for their home state Tigers in the 2024 season. Wide receiver and defensive back are both positions of need for LSU going into this season so Kelly gains two experienced players to help build depth in areas of need.

However as much as the transfer portal giveth, it also taketh away. LSU DB Sage Ryan announced via social media on Friday that he plans to enter the transfer portal. Ryan came to LSU as a 5-star safety but played several games at cornerback out of necessity for the Tigers this season.
