Melinda Schmidt is back on the podcast with me as we talk about ancestors. We are releasing this podcast in November which contains All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day. It’s a whole month devoted to honoring all those who have died over the course of the previous year.
In the west we’ve not done a good job of honoring our ancestors and recognizing their wisdom. On the podcast we look at the part ancestors play in biblical history, what our ancestors have left behind for us, and we look at the fact that we are becoming ancestors too.
Here are the resources mentioned on the podcast:
The Love of Thousands: How Angels, Saints, and Ancestors Walk with Us Toward Holiness by Christine Valters Paintner
Translating Your Past: Finding Meaning in Family Ancestry, Genetic Clues, and Generational Trauma by Michelle Van Loon
