With the midterm elections around the corner, one of the more notable contests is the race for the 11th Congressional District. According to an exclusive Spectrum News/Siena College poll, Republican incumbent, Nicole Malliotakis has the lead over Democratic challenger Max Rose. NY1’s Zack Fink, Courtney Gross and Emily Ngo take a detailed look at the rematch, which may serve as a bellwether for the rest of the country. They also dig into other results of the poll, including which issues are on voters’ minds as they head to the ballot box.
The team also takes another look at the race for governor, in which Gov. Kathy Hochul holds a commanding lead over Republican challenger Lee Zeldin. Can Zeldin gain some ground in the coming weeks?
