The mental health stigma in the military has been worn away in recent years- but there is still a lot left to accomplish. 

In this episode, we are joined by Steve Nisbet, a Pararescueman and President/Co-founder of Shields and Stripes, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving first responders' and veterans' mental and physical health. 

Steve shares his journey as a PJ and his mental health struggles after serving in combat. We dive deep into PTSD and its impact on individuals and their families- and this one gets very real.

Aaron and Steve discuss the stigma surrounding mental health in the first responder and military communities and how Steve and his team are working to break down those barriers through Shields and Stripes. This episode is an inspiring and informative conversation about the challenges of PTSD and the hope that can be found through support and advocacy.
