In this position, his region consistently earned the VIP Award for top production and management. He was honored as the Fort Worth Star Telegram’s 2001, 2006 and 2007 Front Page Award Winner by the Fort Worth Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. In 2007 he was honored with the National Association and Financial Advisor Career Service award.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, John earned his BBA from Texas Wesleyan University, where he was recipient of the Wall Street Journal’s Achievement Award for excellence in the field of Business.
He entered the insurance business as an independent agent in 1972 and earned many company awards. In 1975 accepting a position as Regional Vice President with Time Insurance he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was promoted to Director of Agencies in 1982 with primary responsibilities for the sales force of over 50,000 agents. In 1985 he returned to his home state of Texas and assumed his former position.
He served as the National Committeeman on the Board of the Fort Worth Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors for over 25 years. He also served as President of both the Fort Worth (2004-2005) and Wichita Falls Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (1989-90). He served on the board of both the Texas Association of Health Underwriters and Texoma Health Underwriters of Wichita Falls.
Mr. Park was a feature speaker at the 1990 National Convention of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He has served as an LUTC moderator since 1985 for Business Insurance, Disability Income, Professional Growth, The Dynamics of Group Insurance, Long Term Care and Medicare Supplements.
He was a registrant in The 1973 Edition of Outstanding Young Men in America and 1982 Edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry. Registrant in the 1990 Edition of Who’s Who in Southwest and 1992 Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America. 2005 Who’s Who in the Methodist Church and Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals.
John is active in Troop 75 and Venture Crew 75. He has served on the Executive board of The Longhorn Council of Boy Scouts of America for over 25 years. He was awarded The Silver Beaver Award (one of the highest awards given to an adult in Scouting) and the Order of the Arrows Founders Award. He is a Vigil member in the Order of the Arrow.
John and his wife Julie have two sons Jeremy (age 42) and Jeff (age 39). Julie and John live in Weatherford, Texas.,
