Living Wholehearted Podcast With Jeff and Terra
Kids & Family:Parenting
National Adoption Day is November 18. At Living Wholehearted, we work with leaders and their families. From professional counseling with children, teens, couples and families to executive coaching and organizational and leadership development, our passion is helping leaders live with integrity at home, work and in the community. Among the various clients we serve, many have foster or adopted children, are considering the options, or are dealing with some of the unique challenges associated with caring for these children. We are excited to have Dr. Sharen Ford with us today, who has expertise and passion in this area.
Dr. Sharen Ford is a nationally-recognized child welfare consultant and the retired Manager for Permanency Services for the Colorado Department of Human Services. She retired with 30 years of comprehensive work history with the department, overseeing six programmatic areas including the Foster Care and Adoption Program. She is the former President of the National Association of State Adoption Programs (NASAP). She currently serves as the Director for Foster Care and Adoption at Focus on the Family and is as committed as ever to raising awareness regarding the need for every child to have a quality family.
