S.A. Cosby is the author of the bestselling crime noir novels “Blacktop Wasteland” and “Razorblade Tears”.
Cosby reflects on how his upbringing as a striving member of the black working poor in the south helped to teach him lessons about humanity, dignity, and masculinity that guide his life to this day. He also explains the importance of family and the many other good people who mentored him throughout his life and how those relationships influence his writing and storytelling.
Cosby also shares his creative process and how he decided to trust his own gifts and ambition to become a professional writer, a choice that led to great success with “Blacktop Wasteland” and “Razorblade Tears”.
Chauncey Devega reflects on the heroism and dignity of the four police officers who testified about what it was like to battle Trump’s terrorist attack force on Jan. 6.
And Chauncey returns to the movies and shares his thoughts on “Black Widow”, “Old”, “Pig”, “Snake Eyes”, “Zola”, and “Anthony Bourdain: The Roadrunner”.
