For this episode I wanted to explore the many layers of discussion around Beyoncé launching haircare, including the question, is she even qualified to launch a haircare line?
As part of Destiny’s Child alongside longterm members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, from 2001 onwards the band won every award you can think of, and as a solo artist Beyoncé has amassed over 30 Grammys and is tied with her husband Jay-Z as the most nominated act in Grammys history with 88 nominations each.
As well as the endless awards and nominations Beyoncé is absolutely 100 percent a modern day hair icon for black women the world over and has undoubtedly inspired millions of women to make changes with their hair. In this episode I discuss a little of Beyoncé's impact, her importance, her personal life and her reasons for going into haircare.
I’d love to know your thoughts on this one – you can either DM me on Instagram or Twitter or, if you’re listening on Spotify, please do take part in the poll I’ve shared on the episode page.
