Business Infrastructure - Curing Back Office Blues
Business:Entrepreneurship
Imagine growing up in a city known for its bitterly cold winters and as an adult, moving to the desert with temperatures hot enough to melt tires. Well, that’s what Tiffany Smith did, and she has no regrets. In fact, she’s been living in Saudi Arabia for four years.
We’re taking a slight detour with this episode on our 12-country tour this season. Rather than focusing specifically on what it’s like to do business in Saudi Arabia, Tiffany will share what it’s like for her as a single woman to not just live and work there but also thrive.
In this episode, she gives a humorous take on her career journey from I.T. to instructional design and how her tech background came in handy when she relocated across the world. In true fashion, she describes the business infrastructure she uses to deploy systems in managing two homes in two countries, assemble her “tribe” of trusted people to assist her, and leverage various digital technologies to streamline both communication and commerce.
Discover how she converted her home into a smart house, why she says America’s banking system isn’t friendly for expats, and much, much more!
