That is the amount of money Ken Hoffman, the head of the battery minerals team at McKinsey, estimates that decarbonising the modern world will make the mining industry. If we play a bit of word association - when I say mining, many of us think dirty, pollution or unsustainable.
But that’s going to change. Put simply, the mining industry is going to become the world’s most important industry to achieve net zero. Now that statement might surprise you.
